CHEVROLET TRUCKS

1953-1972

Chevrolet’s first truck, the Chevrolet “National” model, was introduced in 1918. It was a 1-ton pickup truck and marked Chevrolet’s official entry into the truck market. At the time, it was seen as a durable, hard-working vehicle that could handle tough tasks, making it popular with businesses and farmers.

One of the key innovations in early Chevrolet trucks was the “chevy bed”—a flatbed design that became a standard for the brand. By the 1930s, Chevrolet trucks had already gained a reputation for reliability and efficiency, helping to establish the foundation for the company’s long history of producing workhorse vehicles. Fast forward to today, and Chevrolet trucks, especially the Silverado, are some of the most popular and widely recognized pickup trucks in the world!
